A highlight for me of our visit to UNIFAT in December was being present as the new computers were set up. Though I don’t know QuickBooks, I’m familiar with that type of accounting system, so I sat with the bursar as we explored the program, discovering what it could do, and collecting questions to ask. Then the secretary came in, it was soon clear that they could explore as well without me, so I went off to do other things. When I came back, the bursar, secretary and head-teacher were deep in discovery of what this powerful tool could do to help them record, track and report financial transactions. They were eager, engaged, cooperative, curious—a wonderful example of learning at its best!
